Camshaft production at Daimler in Berlin consists of nine fully automated work steps, from turning the raw part to high-pressure cleaning and final measurement. The individual work steps are decoupled by box stacking modules to enable flexible production.

- Automation of eight milling machines, 2 deburring machines, and a measuring machine with cameras for checking the DMC, and for alignment of work pieces
- Intermediate cleaning and measuring of work pieces
- Automation of 3 laser hardening machines with tempering furnace, decoupling module for temporary storage of empty baskets for the work pieces in the tempering furnace
- Automation of 3 grinding machines
- Automation of a high-pressure washer for the final cleaning of work pieces
